This pack of word sorts provides an introduction to or review of short vowels. Concepts include practice with CVC words of each vowel in comparison to another as well as multisyllabic practice with short vowel compound words. I added digraph and ss-ll-ff-zz rule sorts that include only short vowels as well. Each of the 6 sorts has a list of 15 words that can be used for a variety of purposes from weekly spelling work to intervention sessions focusing on phonics rules. The worksheets are meant to be cut so words can be glued in student notebooks or kept in envelopes to be brought out for review throughout the week.
